In the meantime, all are welcome to read and comment on Allie’s poem that won this months competition.

The annihilation of a single soul.

Those who seem so close, but
In-fact so far.
Slowly, brutally,
gnawing at the core,
savoring the pain,
the fear, the merciless injustice
done.
Feeding off, the betrayal of kinship,
and using loyalty, only as
another common word.

Blood is thicker than water…
Oh, only to clot.
Only to cause disease, suffering and
inevitable death.
While water,
flowing free, pushing,
guiding, nourishing
the lost soul, through
the harsh streams
of life.

Those who, gnaw at a soul.
Those who,
enjoy the destruction and hurt,
pain and misery.
Those too ignorant to comprehend,
that a soul cannot –
A soul will-not, perish.
They, cannot understand that,
A soul will-not crumble.
It is an eternal entity.
An immortal being,
that will-not seize to exist.
That will-not be…
ANNIHILATED!
