Zizo Beda Competition Winner

Congratulations to Thandile Fassi, winner of the Zizo Beda competition. She has won  a voucher worth R500 from Zizo Beda’s clothing line: “Life of the Party ” available at all Legit Stores for her following answer:

“What most inspires me about uZizo is:She went on to win the Miss SA Teen competition in I  2006.  It’s not that she won the competition that inspired me then and now still, but  the courage it must have took for a girl from a small town in Dutywa to rise up to the challenge.

The level of self belief, faith and shear guts to stand in line for the crown amongst other female teenagers from around the country including those who are “more affluent”, who have “trained for such events”. Though the competition aims to put all the contestants on one platform equally, there are those unspoken traits that result from pre-competition exposure that are sometimes not evident everyone but the to the participants, yes. An example of this could be the manner in which others have a better command of the english language, or the manner in which they carry themselves or how to dine at a 3 course table. All these as a result of prior pageant exposure. Yet, a girl from eDutywa stole the show!

Furthermore, it is not just the fact that she won the pageant, but also that she went to use her title as launch pad into the TV industry. Few Miss South Africa’s have managed to leverage their titles, let alone a Miss SA Teen, yet she did it. And though she is in the spotlight, she remains true to herself and carries herself in a respectful manner.

Zizo is trully an inspiration and I hope I have managed to illustrate why.”
